Hi David! This is something you can easily edit in the settings.

Please go to our website trainchinese.com and log in using your username and password. There, under Settings, Basic Settings, please scroll down to the bottom and uncheck the last one "Modify consecutive third tones". If this is checked, then tones will follow the spoken Chinese, that is if two third tones appear consecutively the first syllable will be modified to show the second tone.

After you made this change in settings, please go back to your mobile device and update your cards there, then you should be able to see the original tones displayed.
