Discussion of 台子/檯子

I’m learning this in Rosetta Stone which makes it seem as though it’s actually a countertop. “Counter” in Google shows as 柜台（guìtái), so it is close.

Hi this word has multiple meanings. Please see our revised translation: "table (for billiard); (dialect) table, desk; platform; stage" and newly added examples:
- 窗台子 [n] window ledge, window sill (same as [窗台])
- 搭台子 [phr] to set up a stage, to build a platform
- 戏台子 [nphr] stage, platform (in a theater, where actors, entertainers, or speakers perform)
