降温 (jiàngwēn) is a verb that means "to decrease the temperature; (of temperature) to drop; (fig.) to cool down, to drop, to decline" in English. It is pronounced as "jiàng wēn" and is written using the simplified Chinese characters 降温.
Example 1: 今天的天气很热,但是预报说明天会降温。(Jīntiān de tiānqì hěn rè, dànshì yùbào shuō míngtiān huì jiàngwēn.)
Translation: Today's weather is very hot, but the forecast says that it will cool down tomorrow.
Example 2: 最近气温一直很高,希望快降温。(Zuìjìn qìwēn yīzhí hěn gāo, xīwàng kuài jiàngwēn.)
Translation: The temperature has been consistently high recently, I hope it will cool down soon.
