钢笔 (gāngbǐ) is the Chinese word for pen, as opposed to a pencil which is called 铅笔 (qiānbǐ).
For example:
我总是随身带着钢笔，以便需要时记笔记用。(Wǒ zǒngshì suíshēn dài zhe gāngbǐ， yǐbiàn xūyào shí jì bǐjì yòng.) I always carry a pen with me so I can take notes when I need to.
