Hi there! 告诉 is simply "to tell", while 转告 is "to pass on (a message or some information)". 转告 is usually done through a third party.

通知 (tōng zhī): to inform, to notify.
告知 (gào zhī): to inform, to notify.
告知 and 通知 both have the same meaning as 告诉, but are used in different contexts. 告知 is used when the speaker is informing someone of something, while 通知 is used when the speaker is informing someone of something that has already been decided. For example, 告诉 can be used in the sentence "我告诉你这个消息" (I let you know this news), while 告知 and 通知 can be used in the sentence "我告知/通知你这个决定" (I inform/notify you of this decision).
