In everyday language, 卫生 (wèishēng) is used to refer to the cleanliness and hygiene of a place or object. For example, one might say 家里的卫生很好 (jiālǐ de wèishēng hěn hǎo) to mean "the hygiene in the house is good". It can also be used to refer to the personal hygiene of a person, e.g. 他不讲究卫生,我们都不喜欢他。 He pays no attention to hygiene and none of us likes him.
