You are correct the original pinyin for this word should be cai3 fang3, but in spoken Chinese, we follow the tone-changing rules and say "cai2 fang3".
You can tailor your account settings to either let trainchinese display the original tones "cai3 fang3", or the tones after the tone-changing rules are applied -- "cai2 fang3".
To change this setting you need to log into our website trainchinese.com using your Username and Password, and do it there in settings.
Thank you!

采访 (cǎifǎng) should be used when referring to the act of conducting an interview with a person of public interest, typically done by a journalist or reporter. This word specifically conveys the idea of gathering information or obtaining a statement from someone through an interview.
A word that has a similar meaning to 采访 is 访问 (fǎngwèn). 访问 (fǎngwèn) is a more general term that can refer to any type of visit or meeting with someone, not just an interview. It can also be used in a formal or official context, such as a diplomatic visit or a business meeting.

Great question! The purpose is different. Please see:
- 采访 [cai3 fang3] , (v) to interview (done by a journalist to a person of public interest)
- 面试 [mian4 shi4] , (n/v) interview; to interview (an oral examination of an applicant for a job or school admission)
