此后 (cǐhòu) is used to indicate that something will happen after a certain point in time. For example, 从此后 (cóng cǐhòu) means "from now on" or "from this point forward". It can also be used to indicate a change in the status quo, such as 此后，他们就是朋友了 (cóng cǐhòu, tāmen jiù shì péngyou le) which means "From then on, they were friends".
