情人节 (qíng rén jié) is used in everyday conversation to refer to St. Valentine's Day (14th of February). It is often used to ask someone what they are doing on that day, or to make plans for the day. For example, someone might say 今年的情人节你有什么打算 (jīn nián de qíng rén jié nǐ yǒu shén me dǎ suàn) which translates to "What are you planning for this year's St. Valentine's Day?".
