晒 (shài) can be used to describe the action of basking in the sun. For example, 今天天气很好，我们去晒太阳吧 (Jīntiān tiānqì hěn hǎo, wǒmen qù shài tàiyáng ba) which translates to "The weather is nice today, let's go bask in the sun". It can also be used to describe the sun shining upon something. For example, 太阳晒着的花儿都开得很美 (Tàiyáng shài zhe de huār dōu kāi de hěn měi) which translates to "The flowers basking in the sun are very beautiful". Additionally, 晒 can be used to describe giving someone the cold shoulder. For example, 他们把他晒了 (Tāmen bǎ tā shài le) which translates to "They gave him the cold shoulder".
