Hello,
I've read the directions on using the Question and Answer pages. I see there's supposed to be a "Plus" sign on my display. I've reloaded the pages, tried different pages, still just the green Minus sign only. What could be causing this? All I have is a green "minus" sign. To make matters worse I accidentally clicked on a minus when I didn't mean to (in the last 20min, about 3:20p.m. Pacific Times, USA), which is not fair at all to the questions and their answers. :(

Just to confirm, you can not see the green plus, but you do see the red minus from the left hand side of a question? Here is a copy of what I see:

Dear Klaus,
The problem was resolved after I rebooted computer. I don't know why that would make any difference. But it's ok now, except I'm not allowed to put back the points I accidentally took off of two Q&A's. One was about the phonetic pinyin ordering of cards. The other one was about when to use the polite form nin2 vs ni3. If you would put them each a point back up, it'll remove the results of my stupid mistake. Will you? :) One other small matter is that I believe red and green have strong connotations for people who grown up with and use Western-style traffic lights when driving. Red always means "Stop!" And green means "Go!" When paired they tend to symbolize red=bad, green=good. So for people with a lifetime of driving with this light system, the colors of the buttons are counterintuitive. If you want to push an answer "up" one would think of a green plus sign. Just a thought. :-) Thank you for your incredibly swift reply.

Am still confused because the signs should show correctly ("+" in green and "-" in red). A ma attaching a picture here of how it should look like: Please send me a screen shot of your PC if it shows in another way there, so we can fix any problem |
