Hello, Klaus. I was just wondering why the phone app and the computer app is so different. i have an android phone and i think the app for that is excellent. i can manage folders and create smaller folders that make my learning more efficient. However, my android phone is broken at the minute so I have to use the computer app. it's giving me the option to learn 72 cards in one go, which it seems to have been chosen from an arbitrary folder. Obviously I would like a smaller number of cards to make things easier for me. Is there a way to manage the folders on my computer app more easily? And will the computer app become more similar to the phone app in the future?

Hi
The desktop application (working as a separete application on your PC) is not able to handle lists and also has quite some other limitations - we plan for a large update for the Desktop application, but because we did gave priority to the Android and iOS applications we are behind schedule with that. The Desktop application will not differentiate between lists and also will not allow to add words by lists, so for that kind of cases better to use the trainchinese website to train. The Website of course requires a continuous Internet connection. By the way there is a work around to limit the number of cards to be learned on the desktop. You neeed to log into the website, then slelect Content, and there \"All Flashcards\" on the right side, inside the title area is a link to activate a Filter. You can use that filter to slelect form which lists you want to learn on the desktop. Onli words belonging to the selected list(s) will be sent to the desktop app. - may be hat trick is helfull! |

Thanks for the quick response. That's great advice, thanks very much. Yea I think the android app is fantastic so if the desktop one becomes similar that would be great.
