I changed my training modes on my phone and on the settings page on the website to reading and dictation only, but it only applies it to new cards. When updating the settings on my phone it says 'Would you also like to change the modes of all existing active flash cards to match these?' I click yes and update my cards with trainchinese.com. But it doesn't work, and I'm still reviewing old cards with the old settings.
I also tried changing the sleeping settings but this doesn't update for all cards either.

The reason for that behaviour is that the changes in the training settings were made initially on the website and then on the phone. So they became identical even before the Update was executed.
Actually with Update Cards on the phone, the phone informs the website on the setting. As the setting on the website is already the same as on the phone the website will not execute anything as it assumes the change was already done! Suggestion: If you want to change the training settings of all cards, then just change it on the phone and Update Cards. That is sufficient. |
