Hello, I recently purchased the Chinese Writer for Educators app because I saw from the App Store description that it includes the full set of features like the regular Chinese Writer app. The description does not clearly mention any missing language support.

I specifically purchased this version expecting it to support Thai, just like the regular version, which offers multiple language interfaces including Thai. But after installing it, I found that the Thai language is missing – even though other languages are available.

This caused me to feel misled, since nothing on the App Store page warned me that Thai would be excluded from this version. If both apps are by the same developer and offer similar functionality, it’s reasonable to assume they should offer the same language options as well.

I’m just wondering… why is Thai missing from the Educator version? Is there really no way to enable Thai in this version? Do I truly have to purchase the regular version again, even though both apps seem almost identical?

I really hope there’s a solution, as I purchased the app based on the understanding that it included Thai language support.

Thank you so much for your time and understanding.

Hi,

You are right, the "Educator" version does not include Thai support. The reason is that we did just included Thai into the Writer app and the "Educator" version was not updated as it is not used a lot.

Unfortunately in the case of Apple, Only Apple can issue refunds. That means we can not offer you any refund from our side. But we will contact you directly to find a good way for you to be able to use the writer with Thai.

PS. We will also update the description for the Educator version to avoid this to happen to other users.
