As I can see you did not use the app for quite some time. Did you install the app on that device form scratch? If not then would be good if you do so (or you reset all the local data) and then "Update Cards" again. Given you have a large amount of cards the synchronization process will repeat (automatically) until you will see the graphic with your current training status.
To reset all cards on your device please go to "Settings" => Account details. There change the user name to make it invalid (for example just add any character. Then submit - that will erase all local data. After submission get back to the settings and correct the user name.
ingamei lautet: Hi, thank you for the reply, I had the old sd card (from the previous device) inserted when I installed the app. I deleted the trainchinese files now and followed your instructions as for resetting all cards, tried uninstalling\installing, also tried the russian and spanish versions but i keep getting the same error... In 'Training' section i see a red pop up with the number of cards - it says 134 for some reason, when I click on it I see the following message "thanks for updating trainchinese! Your flash cards (475 of them) have been preserved on this device. but to use them with the newest trainchinese features you'll need to synch with trainchinese.com". These numbers don't change after consequent attempts to update, and I can't access any of my cards. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?
klaus lautet: Think the problem may be related to the fact that there is Old data still on the device. Did you change the user-name (in settings) so that all the local data would have been removed?
ingamei lautet: Yes, I followed your instructions - changed the name then changed it back but got the same error...
klaus lautet: Sorry, think I know the reason. You now are using a Android 5 device. The memory management for SD cards was changed by Android and the app can not delete (and also not modify) general data on the SD card - which with previous versions of Android was possible. That is the reason the data is still there even if the account has changed. (As a test) Could you remove the SD card and install the app on the phone memory? then it should work. If it is working, then please check the SD card and remove any folders that contain the name "molatra" and/or "trainchinese". After that you can go to the Application Manager in the settings of the device and select the trainchinese app and move it to the SD card. Hope that now works.
