There is another form of this word used in Taiwan and Hong Kong, it's 妳。 It's pronounced the same but written differently(duh)

Hi yes, :) you are right, and we have that character in our dictionary: 妳 nǐ [pro] (Hong Kong, Taiwan) you (to a woman)

It may be said that it is usually the first word to be learnt by a foreigner in China, for everybody says "Ni hao" as the first line of greeting. Even many textbooks for learning (conversational) Chinese begins with "Ni hao", and invariably "ni".
