I represent a school that purchased licenses for the Chinese Writer app through Apple's Volume Purchase Program.  The paid app is no longer available, so it does not upgrade to the latest version that supports iOS9.  At this point, the only options we have are to push out the free app to all our devices and purchase the additional characters through in-app purchase individually on each and every device.  Not only is this time consuming, but we would be essentially re-purchasing the app again.

We need a feasible resolution for this before we decide to make additional purchases for deployment on even more devices.  Does Molatra have some upgrade path where paid Chinese Writer v2 users can upgrade to v3 and have all the additional characters?

Unfortunately Apple has changed the fonts used for the display of Chinese characters which made a update of the Chinese writer necessary. Interestingly the upgrade of the Chinese Writer with in App purchases was approved without any problems and is available on the store, while the one fore Educators (which is essentially the same as the one with in app purchases) was not approved.

Even worse the Chinese Writer for Educators has been removed form the apple store by apple due to reasons that are still unclear to us. We are still working on solutions that are acceptable to Apple tor restore that app so that it is available again. We still hope that this will happen soon.

We are very sorry for this inconvenience. Should we still not be able to provide the full writer within the first 20 days of January, we will provide the in-app purchase of all characters for free for the rest of the month (that is if the Chinese Writer fore Educators is not approved by Apple until January the 20th then we recommend to use the Chinese Writer and upgrade for fee with all character packs with a free in-app purchase).

We are very sorry for this inconvenience that is affecting users of the Educator version of the App who are running iOS9. Be assured that we from our side are trying our best to solve the issue, but if Apple takes too much time we at least will provide a solution even if it will affect our bottom line as all users with the free writer will be allowed to upgrade for free.

Thank you very much. We understand that Apple's app approval process can be difficult to get around at times and they essentially remove/deny approval for obscure reasons. We look forward to getting this issue resolved and will wait and see if the issue is resolved by the 20th, since deploying the alternate app manually and upgrading with the character packs is unfeasible with the number of devices we'll need to deploy this on. Thank you for your hard work!
